Itinerary description
A nice trail along the south side of the Ordesa valley. The trail starts at the Pradera de Ordesa with the senda de los cazadores - a very steep climb inside the forest. After about two hours the balcony trail (faja de pelay) is reached. From here the trail is pretty flat with very nice views down inside the valley, the cascades along the Ara river and the large Cotatuero waterfall across the valley. Aproaching the top of the valley the trail descents towards the other trail coming from the bottom of the valley. I took the Clavijas de Soaso up (a short ascent with chains and pegs, not too difficult or scarry though other options are available) and zigzaged from there to the Goriz refuge. The views on the last section includes the beautiful Caballo waterfall, the view back to Ordesa valley and the black mountains around the refugi.
