Itinerary description
The Chachacomani is a beautiful 6,000 metre mountain located in the Cordillera Real of Bolivia. Until the mid-2000s, it was accessible from the eastern side of the mountain range, through the Yungas.
Recently, however, an access road has been opened on the highland side through the village of Peñas, which has made it much easier.
The access valley, through the Keluani River, is beautiful and this hike alone is worth it.
The ascent is relatively easy, being only physically demanding.
The Chachacomani is a very interesting mountain to get to know a Bolivia that few people know.
