Itinerary description
This is not a circular trail. You can leave one car in Mirador de Gresoltet (Beggining) and another in Gosol town (end). It is a very crowded trail, but do not underestimate it.
The first part, up to the coll de Verdet (Port) is mainly a matter or walking, with no hard difficulties under good weather conditions.
From this point on you will have to climb. There is a ridge of about 900meters (accumulated vertical gain about +600) in which you will have a continuous climb, mainly I and I+, although there are a couple grade II climbs too (in one of them you will find a fixed rope to make it easier). Although there are few exposed zones, caution must be considered, especially with falling stones provoked by other hikers.
If rain is expected the trail can become much more dangerous, and becomes completely unadvisable for those without real climbing experience.
Take into account that, as usual, once you begin the climb (from Coll the Verdet) , turning back will become much more difficult that just keep on going up to the summit.
After the summit of the highest pick ( Pollegó Superior) you have to climb down to the port (enforcadura) between the two main picks.
From there, you could go down the" tartera "(to the east), which is the path that would bring you back to the beginning of the trail (most of the people follows this route). The "tartera" is a very steep slope that, even not dangerous, is quite hard and technical (you will continuously fall down). But In this trail, to make it easier, we went down by going to the west, less technical although also rather uncomfortable . After the first kilometre, you will enter a forest and the descend becomes much easier, arriving finally at Gosol Town (fountains, bars and restaurants).
The Navigation is quite easy. The ascent is marked with white and yellow marks. Once in the cliff, you should follow the yellow marks, that shows you the best ways to do the climbing.
