Itinerary description
It is worth the extra 15 minutes to hike up to Petit Arriel. The views of Arriel are unbeatable, and it's the only way your pictures will do justice to the true vertical slope of Arriel. It's fun to see what you've accomplished!
This hike does not present any real technical difficulty, just a fairly easy scramble/rock climb in the last 100 meters or so.
The veiws are spectacular from above: Balaitous, Palas, Midi d'Ossau, etc.
Really great peak worthy of your time.
