Itinerary description

A winter mountaineering hike and climb that comprises 3 days and 2 nights from the parking lot 'la Pradera', up to the 'Lago Helado' and back to the car. We slept the 2 nights at the mountain hut ¨Refugio de Goriz¨ (http://www.goriz.es/index.php/en) 17 euros per night and person; food is available (breakfast, lunch and dinner).

Day 1: 'La Pradera' to 'the Refugio de Goriz', easy hike except for the part we actually need to rock climb, some chains are installed to ease the pass;
Day 2: 'Refugio de Goriz' - 'Lago Helado' - 'Refugio de Goriz', in our case snow was melting for a good part of the attack which meant a very exhausting climb for the first 300 m of vertical climb;
Day 3: 'Refugio de Goriz' to 'La Pradera', the descent through the rock climbing part was quite delicate since the rock was very wet.

A nice video of the hike (not by us):

Material used:
Backpack, winter boots, crampons, ice ax, sunglasses, solar cream, hat, also snowshoes (although we didn´t use them).
