Itinerary description

Catch the ferry from Cleveland to Dunwich with bicycle. $20 Stradbroke Flyer. 20 min boat ride. Cycle to Blue Lake. There is a steep climb out of Dunwich , but not bad. Be aware of traffic. Pretty easy to Blue Lake Nat Park. I have locked my bike up and done this circuit a couple times, no probs at all. Hike Blue Lake circuit.(8ks) in a clockwise direction as after the lookout, the track is exposed and can be hot!! It will take you down to Blue lake. Beautiful eucalyptus, grass tees, abound. Stunning here. From Blue lake easy return walk back to carpark. There is a steep climb out of Blue Lake as well, but this is really the only long one. cycle back to entrance Brown lake.short gravel into picnic area. Toilets. Gorgeous swim area. White sand. Cycle Back to Dunwich. Catch ferry back to Cleveland. I did this on a mountain bike, but road/ hybrid ok. As only a short gravel section.Enjoy. Great day out from Brissie. Ferry terminal about a 7min ride from Cleveland station.
