Itinerary description
This is a very stunning hiking!
I downloaded the gpx tracks from Tinos trail, the M1 and the M2 and I joined them.
I started this ring from the parking belonging to a Greek taverna.
On the way till the beach, you basically walk on the side of the valley which is full of these round-shaped rocks. It’s a truly unique scenary, something I have never seen before. Goats are everywhere and they are so curious when humans pass by:)
Once I reached the intersection with Marsyini, I decided to carry on for the beach. It took me one hour, so a bit less than what said in the directions and every minute of it was absolutely worth it!
The 5 Km to the beach go along a river which ends into the sea. It’s unbelievably beautiful! And when you end in the beach, even there are these beautiful round rocks.
On the way back, once you take the turn for Marsyini, you start walk on the other side of the valley which has a different look, no more round rocks anymore. The path passes through the villages of Myrsini and Falatados and then it beautifully brings you back to Volax. One of the most beautiful hikes I have ever done!
The Path is very well marked. Maybe slightly less from the intersection to marsyini forward, but still fairly impossible to get lost.
