From Vermosh to Tamare there is a scenic, comfortable asphalt road - safe on clear days, but providing some excitement during a storm (falling stones and flowing streams of mud). The road passes through the pass at an altitude of 1,100 meters and continues along the southern slope of Maja Taljanit (1585). From Lëpushë, following the headwaters of the Lumi and Cemit rivers, it descends over a thousand meters to the Tamare.
After Tamare, we turn sharply left onto a gunto road, initially quite steep, leading along the slope above the stream. The surface is relatively even and hard, with a slight slope in some places. A long series of invisible turns forces you to pay attention to oncoming cars of local highlanders. The road is quite exposed at times, with few places to pass. Above the settlement of Kozhnje, the road descends to the valley floor. Be careful of pigs lying on the road (freeing the crossing may require some initiative from the driver and passengers).
Vukël is the terminus of the hiking trail from Lëpushë (Route Quafa Bordolecit-Vukël). The main square of the village, overrun by pigs, also serves as a football pitch and a bus stop. There is a new shop near the square with a WiFi router on a nearby pole (open network). Next to it is a local bar serving beer and other drinks, empty during the day and probably coming alive in the evening. There is no living soul in the village during siesta time. Climates similar to some areas of Anatolia or Central Asia. Interesting road.
