Itinerary description
Jagodina - Skála Korinoú
As the 2nd link day towards the North East Greece seaside - actually the litoral at the base of Mount Olymp - we followed our way to South.
Crosssing the border to Makedonia was not substantially slow, but either quick.
In higher seasons one should add between 2 to 4 hours crossing this border.
We've stopped in Kumanovo/ Makedonia just after the border crossing, mainly to tank (diesel and gasoline is definitelly cheaper in Makedonia - also does not deppends on you buybit on highway/motorway or inside a town).
We've choose to enter the town to have an insight about cotidian North Macedonian life.
Also we intented to have some local food, and we've manage to do so: we had one of our best ever burek there in the company of local Albanians.
Again, nice ppl and unbelievebally good taste, autochton food!
Worth to try it - and you can usually not able to do so on highways!
Finally - and slowly - we have reached the Aegian see-side, near Katerini.
Trail was a quite long and mainly boring (not overlanding) parts, but worth it, since real overlanding trip will start from here aftet couple of days enjoying the "doing-nothing" : = sea, food and drinks in Greek style.
Follow us on the next days!
