Itinerary description
In order to combine between a trip and battle tradition in the Judean lowland region, one should arrive at the "Burma Road", which offers over 20 kilometers of historical tales from the days of the Israeli War of Independence. This road provided the Israeli forces with an alternate route for the convoys which transported provisions from the Judean lowland into Jerusalem, with the purpose of bypassing the Arab blockade of the main road which was used until then. And indeed this road managed to breach the siege on the capital. Today, this road fits all vehicles (but not when it is muddy) and it is well-indicated. At its length the battle stories come to life with the help of various aids, such as signposts, figures of soldiers, armored vehicles of the time, memorials and observation points featuring explanatory signs. Along the road are located pleasant picnic areas. Arrival through road number 44. One can finish the trip with a short tour of the HaMasrek Reserve
