Itinerary description
Routes 2 and 3 of the book EXPLORE KYRGYZSTAN.The Chong-Kemin valley stretches about 100 km from west to east along the Kazakh border. An easy trail allows you to explore the first 68 km. In this first part, the mountain slopes are covered with magnificent spruce forests where hidden, sumptuous lakes are accessible on foot or on horseback. Further into the valley, the trail, which is less and less maintained, becomes very difficult. Don't miss the hike to Jashil Kul Lake !
