Itinerary description
The Edge of the World is an unexpected drop down into an ancient ocean bed. It is part of the Tuwaiq Escarpment which forms a system of extensive canyons starting from Buraydah in the north and extends around 1,000 km close to the northwestern edge of the Empty Quarter
While standing on the cliffs, you’ll spot dried rivers weaving across the land, and see camels moving far below. These camels and their herders are following a well-trodden path, as an ancient caravan route once passed within its shadow.
You will need a high clearance vehicle and a 4x4 is preferred. There are plenty of places to camp along the way to the edge of the world. you will not be able to camp on the edge because it can be very windy.
BE VERY CAREFUL, THE CLIFF DROPS DOWN IN MANY PLACES. ALWAYS WALK AND SEE WHERE THE TRACK IS LEADING IF YOU ARE NOT SURE
