Itinerary description
Easily accessible route from Barcelona (30 min drive). Starting point is located in a small town of Aiguafreda where the slow climb to the plains of Montseny starts. When on the top of Montseny hills, there are plenty of beautiful spots for enjoying the view of the valleys around. When the weather is good, it is possible to see Barcelona's Tibidabo. Overall, the route can be completed in 1 hour of none stop driving. This route can be done by any SUV.

Road is closed with a locked ramp. Cant do it anymore
It is a pity that route was closed in August. Original route was made in November and it is very likely that Montseny park is closed due to high likelihood of forest/bush fires. It is typical for most of parks in Spain. Sorry to hear that you could not make it
Yeah, it was a shame, we did a few km hike along the track and the scenery there is amazing.

Hey Greg! I think it should be open though I have not been there for more than 2 years. There are always plenty of alternative paths around even if this specific is closed. It is always better to have 4x4 with a reductor since some dirt roads could be steep and rocky. Good luck!
