Itinerary description
Access, start point to this trail is at the same point as starting the Eggenschwand trail, same pay station. Gasterntal river trail begins with a narrow one way system of about 500 m then opens up onto a dirt road/stones trail. Trail is very easy, lots of places to stop and take in the view, one can divert into the forest areas, nice waterfall if you like waterfalls.

Hi sorry for the late reply was not checking mail, not 100% certain, but cannot think why it should not be. We purchased a ticket for the trail from this coffee place below it is 50 M next to the trail start and the official pay station, he / she will be able to confirm before you set off tomorrow. Best l can do, hope it helps.

Die Maut kann man am Automaten bezahlen.
Kurz nach dem Einstieg, wird die Strasse etwas enger. Im Prinzip kein Problem, aber es hat Wanderer und Biker auf die man aufpassen muss. Speziell mit einem höheren Auto sollte man sich eher an die Talseite halten. Normale Autos haben aber kein Problem. Sobald die Brücke geschafft ist. Ist der schwierige Teil vorbei und es führt eine gute Schotterstrasse ins Tal.
Die Blick ist grandios, da man sich tatsächlich in der Talsohle befindet und links und rechts gehen die Bergwände hoch. Sehr beeindruckend.
Im hinteren Teil des Tals hat es dann zwei Hotels.

Gasterntal kostet neu 15.- zahlen kann man im Restaurant bei der thalstation der bahn und am ahfang des Trail beim automaten
Die höhe ist mit 2.1m angegeben
Bergauf darf man von 45-05 fahren und Bergab 15-35.
Sehr coole strecke durch die Tunnels und den felswänden entlang. Und auch das ganze thal fühlt sich bisschen an wie in Kanada sehr schön 🥰
Kann nichts zum Trail sagen, war leider noch zu als ich dort passieren wollte. Solche Informationen im Vorfeld wären auch schön gewesen. Zufahrt erst ab Mai möglich!
Für mich ist diese Strecke "little Canada". Der Anfang der Strecke, durch die Felswand ist fantastisch👍🏻

Urs, All, happy you enjoyed the trail, l did like the first bit through the rock.
Ca. von Mai bis Oktober offen. Den Rest vom Jahr ist es geschlossen. (Schnee und Steinschläge)
