The Chobe National Park, north of Botswana, is located near the city of Kasane. We were staying at the Hotel Cresta Mowana Lodge, a dream hotel, like all there is around here.
The Chobe Park covers an area of 10,698 square kilometers, making it the third largest reserve in Botswana, after the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and the Gemsbok National Park.
We made two routes through the park, early in the morning. We would go out at about 6 in the morning and we would get dawn on the way. At the entrance to the park they had to stamp the 4x4 permits and there was a queue at that time.
The photographic safari was very good, we are not in a zoo where the animals are in their places, but here they are at ease. Therefore, it is possible not to see many animals. We went to the beginning of May, at the end of the rainy season and have many places with water in the park. So they were very spread out.
But in the end we saw impalas, elephants, giraffes, buffalos ... The experience was very good. Yes with guides from the national park that go along the roads, where you can not leave.
