Itinerary description
This trail starts on asphalt and has two further sections of asphalt on the way. There are some easy forest tracks and some rocky sections. However, I have described it as difficult due to a section in the middle that is narrow and uneven/rocky and that requires a bit of planning to negociate safely.
There are also some parts that were gated which required the "gates" to be removed and replaced after passing through.
Don't bother about following the off-shoots; they were either a bit boring or closed/impassable.
There are spectacular views from Ermida de Cristo Rei which you should not miss out.
I did the route in a 1978 Land Rover 88. Any modern 4x4 shouldn't have any problems.
