Itinerary description
Overlanding trip with two small kids (4 and 5 years old). We only did wild camping one time, as for now we not get have a roof top tent, and extreme drought made it hard to find a camping spot clise to water which we find necessary.
Nice route with some very beautiful routes, and some challenging tracks. A/T tires, 4x4 low gearing and good ground clearence absolutely required for some parts.
We did this route with a lifted 2002 Land Cruiser 95 on A/T tires without a real struggle.
The last part, from Hecho to France, is not recommended, practicly only asphalt. The one exciting bit is the boarder crossing to France which has a spectacular view.

The route we followed continued here, but we like to respect laws and nature to keep our hobby possible in the future.

Finaly found a nice Spanish campsite where you don’t feel like sharing the bed with your neighbours. Lovely family and reasonably priced (not cheap though, as every campsite in Spain).

Route should take this gravel path, but a forester took us of the road and told us we needed a permit to drive here. Turned round.
