Itinerary description

This trail is the extended version of the one called 'Valle di Susa in Piemonte (Italy) - 230km - Susa-Susa' with:

- an access route from France to Italy (A43 to D1006, to avoid the Tunnel du Frejus and start with an off roadtrail at Lac du Mont-Cenis before entering Susa);

- an exit route from Italy to France (SS24 to D1091, to avoid the Tunnel du Frejus, end with an off roadtrail at the northern part of Briancon and follow the way downwards on the astonishing D1091 to Grenoble).

    I would say: check the opening times off the 'stradas', download the gpx and have a good look at the weather forecast and you are all set to go! In Susa it is possible to get a map called 'Percorsi Alpini e Vallate, Valle di Susa, 1:70.000' at the local bookshop, which covers the whole trail. I quite like a paper map now and then.
