Itinerary description
Going up the Risoul ski-area before going up parpaillon.
Both roads were in worse condition than for example the Assietta. But both very doable if you have proper ground clearance.
Coming down from Risoul there is a short section which is ‘hectic’ if you don’t have low range, or drive something larger than a defender, I would not recommend trying to go down that ‘road’.
Coming down Risoul there are beautiful spots to camp in the woods. Coming down Parpaillon there is a massive valley at around 2100m. The river flows quite nicely, and there are a ton of spots to camp. I imagine that it will be quite busy in the high season.
I opted to continue down towards the campsite where this route ends, it is quite nice and has a view of the old fort behind it.
