Itinerary description

Orienteering is a family of sports that requires navigational skills using a map and compass to navigate from point to point in diverse and usually unfamiliar terrain, and normally moving at speed (not in my case). Participants are given a topographical map, usually a specially prepared orienteering map, which they use to find control points. Mountaineering orienteering as a discipline slightly differs in a sense that map ratio is smaller, not all control points are marked on map but practitioners are required to solve problems in order to find where control point is. Typically you are given parameters such as section of two coordinates or section of coordinate and particular azimuth angle, azimuth angle from particular point on map and distance etc. Avala is a mountain in Serbia, overlooking Belgrade. It is situated in the south-eastern corner of the city and provides a great panoramic view to Belgrade, Vojvodina and Šumadija, as the surrounding area on all sides is mostly a lowlands. It stands at 511 meters and is popular outdoor and picnic area.
