We left the campsite early to the dock to catch at 9:00 the ferry from the FJORD1 company (unlike NORLED, prices are the same at the box office as on the internet) to Gudvangen (NOK367 per person). On this route we will visit two fjords of stunning beauty, the Aurlandsfjord and the Naerofjord (arms of the great Sognefjord, the longest in Norway). While the first fjord we visit, the Aurlandsfjord, is beautiful, the Naerofjord is spectacular for its waterfalls and snowy peaks, only 250 meters wide at its narrowest point.
We arrived at 11:00 to the Viking town of Gudvangen and at 12:00 we took the ferry (260 NOK per person) that links us with Kaupanger, once again crossing the Naerofjord and then the Sognefjord.
