Comment : if you watch distance and elevation you'd think this should be easy...let me tell you that hiking up a mountain making you own traces in 40cm/16" of fresh powder snow might be easy in cross-country skiing but not with snowshoes it's hardcore I almost gave up and had to take breaks every 10m under Pointe de L'au, almost turned back right below the summit (video 094 2/4) I'm glad I didn't because the view was breathtaking :D My plan was to do much more but I never snowshoed on "virgin" snow like this and clearly overshot my capacities I also heard avalanches (artificially provoked) on the other side of the mountain so maybe reaching la Pointe des Mosettes was "slightly" optimist and also very dumb and dangerous so I didn't. Mission was more than accomplished I think you'll agree when you see the pictures and videos.
I recorded several videos during the ascent because the weather was uncertain and became very cloudy I didn't want to miss my chance of a good video. In the end the sun won so I made even better videos.
Sorry skiiers I made holes in your slopes a few days before the opening ;) Too much snow off trail to walk somewhere else.
