Comment : only my second winter of snowshoeing (which for me is a tool to keep doing T3 trails in winter not a separate activity) still learning what you can do or not and this one's was as a fail, I hoped to have virgin snow with no human traces at Salanfe lake but the reason no one went there (other than cross-country skiiers) was that an avalanche of snow temporarily erased any safe way to go up there :/ a pretty but dark and short hike, this is an enclosed valley and the sun ended up out of reach just above the impassable avalanche-d road, too bad but still a good day thanks to a valley of untouched powder snow and beautiful frozen Salanfe river
