Contrary to what is indicated, the total ascent is 1000 meters. The views from L'Éperon and Escarpement are extraordinary. We had crampons on our boots and our snowshoes on our rucksacks. We didn't have to use the rackets, although they could have been used in the segment connecting the two loops. We prefer to use the stabilizing muscles of our legs. The forest canopy is open. The sector connecting the two loops is very interesting for off-piste cross-country skiing.
