Itinerary description
Starting from Chabrouh dam entrance along the west border of the lake then up to a very beautiful viewpoint (Chabrouh, surrounding mountains, Ouyoun el simane, ski slopes) before going back to the starting point via the lake's east border . There's a trail most of time except for the descent (marked by a waypoint). If you are a beginner do not to go down to the valley the same way i did especially when there is snow. Crevasses may be dangerous and even a small crevasse can break your leg! I chosed to rate this trail "difficult" for this reason. Snowshoeing the descent is very difficult because there is a mix of snow and rocks. Better to have semi-rigid boots with full gaiters. If you want to avoid the steep and slippery descent, go back your steps on the same trail till the north part of the lake then take your left to the east of lake. Enjoy and stay safe!
