Itinerary description
1. Start from the main road (Argentiere - Vallorcine) on the street with a sign La Couteray. You can either park on the car park that goes up the road (see the red pin) or down by Le Buet train station.
2. Follow the asphalt road for 10-15 min until you reach a wide path.
3. At some point on a curve, you will see signs that lead to a small path towards Loriaz. Take the path towards Cascade de Loriaz. Refer to the map. Be aware that this is a very technical path especially during winter and I would grade it as "Difficult" rather than "Moderate". If you don't want to take this road continue on the wide path.
4. You will reach a waterfall and then hike for another hour or so to reach the top (Croix de Loriaz). You can go to the huts and have some snack (not indicated on the map but can be seen) and then start to make your way down.
This is a figure of 8/infinity trail which can be modified in any way you want to meet your abilities and desires.
