Itinerary description
An ascent toward Loriaz refuge from the village Vallorcine. Up to the treeline the trail follow a (summer) steep and winding dirt road. Crossing the treeline the trail passes through a cirque - the source of Loriaz, at this point the snow on the trails becomes quite deep and the only remnant of the trail are the ski-touring orange sticks. Since a snow storm began to form I retraced my steps at this point. On the way down I took the boucle Les Granges trail.
