Itinerary description
Michigan Ditch Trail is a hidden backcountry trail used for snowshoeing... it's hidden in the Larimer region in Colorado right smack in the middle of Roosevelt National Park.
Trail is quite wide and marked, snow can get pretty deep in some areas. Try not to veer off the path as the snow can easily reach your chest area, trust me, hard to get out of that!
You can snowshoe out for quite a bit and reach Michigan Lakes, we decided to camp out and have a little picnic in the snow. The trail is quiet and usually quite lonely, make sure you're not alone and take enough water.
