Itinerary description
This trail is suitable for: cross country skiers, snowshoers, walkers, hikers and mountain bikers.
1. Start from the car park at the lake entrance. Follow the path along the lake on the opposite side of the forest.
2. At the end of the lake, snowshoers should take the path through the forest along the river. Walkers can take the groomed path which is a wide open road after the carpark.
3. From Albertans hamlet there is a loop (two groomed paths for cross skiers) the left-hand-side path is suitable both for snowshoers and cross country skiers, the middle one is also suitable for those two, the upper one to the right is for walkers.
4. Once you do the loop you can retrace your steps and finish the trail by walking on the other side of the lake (forest side). You can choose between the lower path, right on the shore of the lake and the upper one, above the lake.
Please note: There is a hard technical part between the end of the lake and the road to Albertans hamlet when one is going out of the river bed. It is very steep and if you don't feel confident we suggest re-tracing your steps back to the carpark and taking the walkers road. The river bed and forest are worth visiting though.
Enjoy!
