The "Lyngen Alps" are an absolutely remarkable and beautiful protected area, a kingdom for ski touring or downhill skiing without a lift. Athletes do not "hiking", they go up in skins to go down the slope on skis or snowboard. They have surfboards that can be split in two to "ski" up.
Now, the region is splendid.
We had left to do the valley, but the first slope was already too dangerous, too steep in our opinion. There are avalanche alerts everywhere and already deaths.
We went elsewhere.
