Itinerary description
Ishmael, Kendric and I left the Santanoni Road Parking at 7:15 am. The road portion was broken out recently by an XC skier.
The trail to Bradley Pond was not broken out, but we were rather fast for the first mile or so, but then the blowdowns started and the snow got deeper.
We did not start up the Times Square trail until 10:25 am, and after the first quarter of a mile we lost the herd path, floundered around a bit, found it again, and lost it again. Shawn came along about then and had just been up there a few weeks ago. He had started about two hours behind us and took over the trail breaking. The next half mile took about an hour when we all decided to turn around close to 1 pm, when we were a few hundred feet short of the Santanoni Brook. The tough part still needs breaking out.
