Itinerary description
Path: parking at Piano Provenzana (1.800 m, municipality of Liguaglossa-Catania), trail Monte Nero delle Concazze (almost, up 2.050 m), walk along Anfiteatro ski lift (2.350 m), then out of track but close to trail Nero delle Concazze (2.600 m), follow pista per fuoristrada until Piano delle Concazze (2.800 m), and finally Pizzi Deneri (2.845 m) and Osservatorio Vulcanologico. The return path was parallel to the outward one, approaching the fault line with the dormant but warm volcanoes
Level: quite difficult (EE = for experienced hikers), due to physical effort, ice and soft snow, danger of snow bridges. Pay attention to the weather: clouds come suddenly and reduce visibility
