We spent 15 days at "69° north". Very, very beautiful.
69° north A stroll by the sea
First day of dog sledding: The lake
Second day of dog sledding: Sossus Vlei in the snow
Third day of dog sledding: mountain hike
Fourth day of dog sledding: in Sami territory.
Fifth day of dog sledding: return home.
Lyngen Alps: Russell, Ruossavarri.
Failure due to the risk of avalanche: to forget.
Lyngen Alps: nice walk to Fastdalen.
Lyngen Alps. Very nice walk in Blaisvatnet
Nice walk near Rotsundelv
Lyngen Alps. Jaegervatnet and its tray
Lyngen Alps: Short tour between Straumen and Russelv
Lyngen Alps: Russelv, the lighthouse.
Lyngen Alps: Very nice hike in Lyngsdalen.
Lyngen Alps: Rottenvikvatnet: very beautiful hike, the most beautiful of the stay?
Lyngen Alps: Sor-Lenangen. nice ride
The "Lyngen Alps" are an absolutely remarkable and beautiful protected area, a kingdom for ski touring or downhill skiing without a lift. Athletes do not "hiking", they go up in sealskin to go down the slope on skis or snowboard. They have surfboards that can be split in two to "ski" up.
Now the region is splendid to explore.
Three apps are recommended: Norgeskart, Varsom regobs, Troms reise.
We wanted to see the Lyngen Fjord and took the ferry to Olderdalen.
As the weather was not good we decided not to climb too high.
That valley to the north looked pretty good. Fortunately, a cross-country ski trail had been traced by a snowmobile and we were able to walk without snowshoes. We can extend this walk much higher in the mountain pastures. The views weren't outstanding, but the weather was stuffy.

Good walk.
