Itinerary description
Despite the recent storm there was no more than 6" of snow on any of the trails. No significant drifting.
There were a half dozen ice fishermen on the lake when I arrived. There is parking for about 7-8 cars in the plowed parking area. I did not place a waypoint at the parking area on Metcalf Road, but that is where the fisherman pictures were taken from. The logging slash route took me off Route 113 which is no fun to walk on. However the numerous branches under the snow were grabby on my snowshoes.
