Itinerary description

Jabal el Kneisse is an outstanding destination during winter time, when snow is covering the whole scenery! Our hike started next to Tarchich-Zahle road. Just after reaching the telecommunication site, we started climbing on the ridge. The climb is not as hard as it may seem. As you go higher, the sceneries become more and more beautiful, having Metn towns on your right with their beautiful ponds, Bekaa valley on your left and Mount Sannine behind you. When arriving at the top, we had a coffee break at the old building of Teleliban that was destroyed by an air raid during the lebanese war in 1982. After that, we headed west towards the Sohat-Kneisseh 4x4 road totally covered with snow, and closed our loop back to the starting point. Amazing location with amazing sceneries during winter. No technical difficulties, just a moderate uphill to reach the summit. Highly recommended for snow lovers :) Enjoy hikers!
