Itinerary description
Tacheeda Fire Tower from Tacheeda Lakes
This is a track for a winter snowshoe so the first part is across the ice then joins the foot trail. There is a trail along the edge of the Lake for summer use. For summer use there is also a rainwater tank below the tower.
Roughly a 5 hour round trip in the winter with the trail broken. The tower was recently renovated. Good 360 view of the surrounding area including Sentinel Peak. There is a wood heater in the tower but no wood close by. There may be an axe and a swede saw at the tower in the job box. Please do not cut green trees, clean up after yourselves and be sure the door is closed when you leave. Enjoy!
