Itinerary description
Nice views of the Halti mountain enroute!
The road and the day was snowy even from the bottom Kåfjorddalen valley, no possibility to continue unless you drive snowbike (17k up until the Halti trail head!)
So we parked in the first parking inside the Reisa National park just after the fence (when the town finishes) through the sealed road.
We decided to continue across the road with our snowshoes from the beginning to make sure we got no lost and reach a point where Finland highest mountain was visible.
It was a fantastic walk, also because the snow stopped and the sky was clear enough.
Hope next time be able to reach Halti! But not in winter conditions :)

Nice route! At first, you might think that just following the road to Halti's parking lot can be a bit disappointing (above all if you thought about climbing Halti mountain). However, the trail is so covered by snow that you almost forget that there is a road under your feet. Besides, you can take some shortcuts through the forest. The sights of the valley and the mountains are just amazing!
