Itinerary description

A short snowshoeing tour in Zaarour area. Beautiful sceneries of Zaarour, Kneisseh and Sannine. Snowshoes are mandatory because even with large snowshoes, you can sometimes find your knees under the snow. Watch your steps in the powder and melting snow and stay away of rock surroundings.

I have followed this trail  verified  View more

I think there was much more snow in the winter of 2019.. I did this in 2024.. and the trail was super hard to follow since many areas weren't covered in snow..

Hello Fredrik. As you mentioned, the trail I did in 2019 was fully covered in snow and this is why it was hard for you to follow easily. At this time of the year 2024, only recorded snowy trails higher than 2000 m are reliable for snowshoeing .

In some instances, your trail went over lakes, im assuming they either didn't exist or the amount of snow was enough to cover them and walk over them .. but in our case.. it was impossible, and we had to find a different route around the lake.. and that's it, really.. it was a difficult trail to follow in your footsteps.. and it's not your fault..
