Itinerary description

A three hour paddle from Armitage Park to Marshall Island Boat Ramp. Start on the McKenzie River, pass through the Willamette River confluence while enjoying wildlife and scenery. Pass through a few rock quarries and areas not frequently accessed. Plenty of opportunities for stops along the way.

Paddlers should be comfortable with basic balancing and an understand of proper paddling technique. Leash safety should be understood. Good opportunity to practice bracing, avoiding the occasional boat or log jam and generally enjoying learning to stand up paddle on the river.
