Itinerary description
A three hour scenic paddle on the Coastal Fork of the Willamette River. If you haven't run a river before on a SUP I'd strongly encourage an easier route before attempting Dilley Lane to Island Park.
This scenic route has long calm stretches and plenty of small riffles for a little sport along the way. You’ll head north from Dilley Lane Boat Launch off Hwy 58. The water trail winds around Mt Pisgah and provides access to great swimming holes along the way. After a long calm section you’ll begin to enter the Coastal and Middle Fork Willamette River confluence.
This trail has several turns, some rocks to watch out for and a drop shelf that can be passed staying river left. See photos, when in doubt, stop and take a closer look. Water flow should be reviewed. This was run on CFS 250, low, using standard fins and River fins (1.5”). I’d suggest 500 to 2500 but haven’t verified, 250 had some bumps along the way. Paddlers should be comfortable balancing, understanding proper paddling technique, handling shallow water and basic water safety.
