Sir Bani Yas Island is a nature reserve with more than 15,000 free-range animals on an area of approximately 87 km2 established in 1971 by the former ruler of the United Arab Emirates, Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Thanks to decades of conservation of the environment and ecological investment, there are thousands of free-range animals and millions of trees and plants on the island today. There are among other things cheetah, hyena, antelope, giraffe, ostrich, gazelle and peacock.
