Itinerary description
Access to Douro river is done via a small dock in Pé de Moura. WORD OF CAUTION, you may be tempted to access the river using the granite ramp, DON'T. It accumulates a lot of slime and therefore, it is extremely slippery and you can easily injure yourself. Use the dock platforms to access the water.
From the dock to the access to Inha river you'll paddle for around 800 m. In Inha you can navigate easily for around 2 km until you run out of course (easy to navigate at least). Turning back you follow the same path back to the dock in Pé de Moura, at which point you can decide to go up Douro river until you reach the beach in Lomba (around 4 km upstream). In this trail we went only half way to the aforementioned beach and then turned back. Be advised that there is always some current in Douro and it may be more demanding physically (specially if there is wind in the mix, which isn't rare in these parts). All in all, a great route and a very, very good scenery. Enjoy!
Note: As a final remark, this route is a loop; I couldn't tag it as such - there is no option to edit that information.
