Itinerary description
Leaving out of Tavernier Creek.
The creek has a lot of boat action. And after the stretch of houses these boats are flying through the narrow mangrove lined creek. The current can be strong and the boats wakes make it even crazier. High winds against the current make it more difficult, and there are blind bends around the creek. If you are looking for a leisurely paddle to toilet seat cut try another route. I paddled full speed out of that creek to escape the flying boats.
