Itinerary description
Palamós - Cala del Vedell 5.24km
Cala del Vedell is more difficult to access from land. Very secluded. Larger pebbles, but there is a circular concrete platform of about 2,5 m diameter you can sleep on. Someone made a table out of that.
Cala de Roca Bona as alternative bivvy spot. Nice sandy beach, but a storm the day before took away most of the beach. Also more frequented by hikers.
Easy swim day 1. Night was rough with rain and storm. Almost lost the Ruckraft! Had to wait next day for the sea to calm down. Swim on day 2 was tougher. Wind over waves and head on currents. It took me almost 1 hour to cross the bay of Calella de Palafrugell! (Maybe also to do with the fact that I only slept from 6-8 once the storm had dried my sleeping bag ;)
