Itinerary description
La Huasteca to Cascada de Guitarritas. Nice and easy uphill 375 m along 12 km.
After 5km on asphalt main La Huasteca road turn right on dirt road - direction (Quinta) El Parraiso:-)
After another 4,4 km you have to pass fenced gate, be ready for barking dog (not dangerous) and some "propinas" (tips) in case that gate is operated by the owner:-)
Just 3 km more and you will be in beautiful narrow, most of the time "dry" waterfall Canyon Guitarritas. Now you are standing at 1 000 m above sea level surrounded by gorgeous mountain peaks 2 000-2 200 m. It is possible to continue along the hill on left side, but property is private and gate was well locked. Best time is to be there 1-1.5 h before sundown. Enjoy!
