Itinerary description
One week motorcycle road trip
Monday to Monday
1500km 5 days on the road
Motorbike rental at DaNang
EZ motorbike - good value and highly recommend. Shop located 500m from airport and offers one way rentals to Hanoi.
148$ for one week including shipping bike back ok the train.
Bike return very convenient at the Hanoi train station directly by the shipping company. They also gave me deposit back in cash. Super convenient. Shop offers deposit returns by PayPal which for those who have PayPal might be even more convenient.
First day after renting the bike I did short road trip south of Danang to see the famous road recommend by TopGear trip during their Vietnam special.
For the night I went to Hoi An. Quite commercialized byt still charming ancient town felt as a better choice than DaNang.
Tuesday
5:30am start. For Bahn Ni breakfast I drove about 30km north west in direction of the mountains till got out of bigger roads. Coffee shop from Google maps not open that early so I ended up buying from a small stall near a school. Later I drove through HCM trail tunnels. Road felt quite empty, at some point had to dress up proper cloths as it was quite misty and chilling.
First night at small guesthouse at the ridge of cliff overlooking river down bellow. Amazing views. Popular stop with bikers for coffee break caller Retro Khe Sanh.
There is military outdoor museum with many wrecked airplanes from war time displayed including full size bombers.

Wednesday
Long ride through remote section of the HCM road. Make sure you too up petrol before this part as not many options.
First proper stop was Paradise cave in PrangNha. Quite touristic large cave. Not that impressive as it is quite like all caves with walkways and lights. Was nice to cool down a bit as the temperature there is much lower than outside.
Later did some swimming nearby Dark Cave but was yo Kaye to enter the cave itself.
I styed at Coco Hoimestay for two nights. One full day two nights stop at Prang Nha.
Thursday went for whole day caves expiration with Mic Nam Adventures. New operator who acquired rights to 200 hectars of mountains for caves explorations.
We hiked total 8km through jungle starting at the 300mnp and descending down by 250m into large valley. In the value we expplored Golden Cave and eCave. Second one is quite amazing as the tour is done via Inflatable SUP. We paddle 1km into the cave and back. Amazing experience.
