Itinerary description

A short side trail off of the main road to a "fake" mine (looks interesting from the trail but actually turns out just to be a five foot hole dug into the side of the hill). Dutchman's Pass itself starts at the Southern terminus of Horizon Ridge Pkwy and runs South until it comes out on US-95 near the turnoff heading to Nelson. I just purchased the premium version of the Wikiloc app and this was my first practice attempt at saving and uploading a route. Rated moderate for a couple of uphill sections with loose rock and the ever present loose sand and gravel in the washes around Vegas. There are several other fun side trails in the area although a few of them have recently been posted no access. I will be posting other trails in this area as time allows as this is the closest dirt playground to my house.
