Itinerary description
This trail starts right in a residential section of Henderson and goes all the way through to US-95 near the intersection of Nevada Hwy 165 heading to Nelson. The Northern section close to Horizon Ridge Pkwy is fun and fast hard packed dirt with a few cool whoops. Once the trail takes a dogleg right and starts heading South things get a little more interesting. The middle section is a couple of miles of deep gravel and the closer you get to the dry lake it turns into loose, sifting sand. I would be lying if I said the bottom part of the trail was any sort of fun on a heavy bike but this area is a playground for quads and Razors. There are a lot of other side trails in the area to explore. Sections of the trail parallel a pipeline so keep an eye out for Southwest Gas heavy equipment maintaining the road.
