Itinerary description
The starting point is the Desert National Wildlife building at the end of Desert National Wildlife Range Road. Nearby, the road tee's with Alamo Road. Turn left on Alamo Road and follow it to Hidden Forest Road. Hidden Forest road heads toward the mountains and eventually turns into a single file trail that heads into Dead Man's Canyon that leads to Hidden Forest. The trail in Dead Man's Canyon is rough and steep and it stays like that for about a mile or so. The canyon and valley are quite beautiful. Summer is a bad time to visit.
Alamo road continues toward Alamo for about 50 miles. There is absolutely no sign of life on this road.
