Itinerary description
Crossing the mountain range from Gobustan till Gilazi is an amazing off-road experience. The off road track is not easy to find and I rated medium hard for the heavy bikes. Often dual tracks become single track for a bike due to the deep and often soft terrain among the tracks. You have to ford to creeks with not much water in Late summer
Key points. At Khilmilli leave the asphalt almost at the end of the village for a sharp left large unpaved track going to the river - first 2 fords
After the ford the track to take is on the right and is steep and colored
After steep uphill and a steeper downhill you will land on a dry creek. There is a tree in the middle and a junction.
Take the track in the left and follow the dry bed of the creek.
After a long uphill, not easy due to unstable track conditions, another long downhill. When you pass a pressure control point of the gas pipe you know you are right
Last ford an final up hill taking the track on the right at the junction. Follow the yellow gas pipe sticks to the top of the mountains then down to the village
You can combine it with 1 other off road trail taking the water canal service road from Gilazi to Sungyit
